Your new role
As Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include managing financial controls for the site, preparing the annual budget; monitoring, controlling, and reporting on financial performance throughout the year. Additionally, you will empower and support an experienced finance team of 3 direct reports, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the team's success. This role requires a proactive approach to financial management and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Typical duties include:
- Ensuring the site operates in accordance with corporate polices (CFAP/Sarbanes Oxley/MICS, purchasing ethics) and that local controls meet minimum requirements
- Continually monitor performance against controls and continue improvements towards best practice
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including periodical reviews of all issues with auditors (internal and external), and Sarbanes Oxley reviews
- Preparation and presentation of the annual budget
- Preparation and presentation of the rolling forecasts 3 times per year
- Investigation and analysis of the financial variances against prior periods and forecasts
- Ensuring operational KPIs are reported accurately within the forecasting process
- Ensuring corporate reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate routinely with: Operation Control and other sites
- Ensure availability of financial information to meet local routine and ad hoc requirements
- Supervision of preparation of Plant performance data and presentations for senior/external meetings
- Cost management and analysis in support of business decisions
What you'll need to succeed
Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ACA)Min 5 years PQE experience in a large company environment, Ideally manufacturingStrong knowledge and understanding of costs and variances analysis, financial control, reporting, and manufacturing accountingAble to meet tight deadlines in a complex and demanding environmentComprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a sound knowledge of Finance ERP (Onestream) and ERP systems (preferably SAP)An effective communicator with good interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels, both internally and externally
